On 8.23, Kobe’s Birthday, and 8.24, Kobe Day, Nike LA invited the top High School girls and boys to take part in the first annual Mamba League Invitational. Hosted at LA Live right outside of the Crypto Arena, hand selected athletes from Southern California were challenged to continue the legacy of the Mamba Mentality. After a competitive 2 days, a Mamba League Girls and Boys team were crowned as the first annual Mamba League Invitational Champions and were congratulated by Vanessa Bryant herself. The heightened considerations of the Bryant family were of the upmost importance to build a program that paid homage to Kobe and set a standard for years to come.
